We are Crowdfunding

The BATCOM Build is underway! Over the next few weeks, you will see things starting to happen at our new community composting site as Yatemans the builders move in to install groundworks and build our six big composting bays.

Next we will be on site painting, making signs and fences, building a shelter, planting a hedge, putting up bat and bird boxes and sowing wildflowers before we open. This will be the second stage of the build and it’s the bit where you come in…..!
Today, we launched our Spacehive crowdfunding campaign. It’s called ‘The BATCOM Build’.

There’s a special element to the crowdfunder – if we hit our target, Stroud District Council will matchfund every donation made. But only if we hit the target.

To maximise our chances, we need to hit the ground running with donations as soon as it launches. Can you donate today?

Please click on the image above to take you to our Spacehive campaign site where you can find out what your donation will be spent on and how we’re progressing.

p.s. If you were kind enough to pledge a donation to BATCOM earlier in the year, this is your chance to make good 🙂 (if you’re not sure how much you pledged, email hello@batcom.org.uk and I’ll let you know). Please note: this is not an early payment for membership of the composting scheme – we are fundraising just for the build.
